Really surprised this property is still allowed a full “Marriott” flag designation. Given that my stay was literally about 10 hours I stayed.never took my socks off other than to shower though.
The rest of the room elements weren’t as bad but not much better. The carpet is literally disgusting to the point of feeling unsafe (see pics). I literally considered leaving and going down the the street to lesser but newer flag. But aside from all that the room did not seem clean at all.
The grounds, parking areas are literally crumbling.
The furnishings, fixtures and finishes are at least 2000’a if not 90’s genre. The property has obvious received no updates or refreshments in many years (very creative or dated photos on the Marriott website). The biggest blemish of this property as a practical matter for guest though is maintenance and cleanliness.

The reception staff was great - cheerful, professional and efficient. But I assume the initial developer/owner had high hopes. Can’t imagine a full service program in this area ever made sense. The odd thing is this hotel is in a very industrial area, nothing around but warehouses and light industrial businesses. pool (no ambiance, literally a few yards off the the freeway), restaurant, Starbucks, meeting space.although the restaurant is not open or even offering room service, presumably as a a result of Covid, which is understandable. To be honest I’m not sure why this hotel was ever built. I really feel bad about a bad review with all the hospitality industry is having to endure right now but this was a bad experience, specifically because of what is going on right now.
